June 19 All day
While Juneteenth marks a historic moment in U.S. history, it is also a time to reflect on the legacy of slavery and systemic racism here in Canada.
Juneteenth invites us to learn, reflect, and acknowledge the ongoing impacts of anti-Black racism, while also celebrating Black culture, resilience, and community. It reminds us of the importance of continuing to challenge inequities and work toward a more inclusive future for all.
Today, and every day, we stand in solidarity with Black communities, honouring the voices, experiences, and contributions of Black individuals. 🖤❤️💚
