Maple Ridge / Pitt Meadows Community Services is proud to host a community artwork project created last year for Truth and Recognition Day by Artist Rosalie Dipscu. This beautiful artwork has been on a travelling exhibition at various community agencies for the past year, and this month, it can be found in the lobby of Maple Ridge Pitt Meadows Community Services.
The artwork was presented to MRPMCS by Roger Watts from Plea Community Services and Katzie Elder, Coleen Pierre.
Coleen Pierre presented the artwork during a beautiful ceremony with a welcome song and speech.
“This artwork represents people working together to make change through creating connection and conversation about what Truth and Recognition means,” said Pierre.
