Temporary Scope of Service
Children & Youth with Special Needs continues to provide services remotely through telephone and online means. Please call 604.467.6911 ext. 1101 to speak with the Director of Programs and Services. One to One Services and Group Services are being provided through a combination of in-person and virtual on-line means at this time.
*Please note a referral from the Ministry of Children and Family Development - Children and Youth Special Needs is required. Please contact your social worker or call MCFD at 604 476-2800 press #1 for local office.

Purpose Statement
Participating in community activities to help develop social relationships and build independent living skills
About Program
Children and Youth with Special Needs programs build life and social skills through activity based learning, socialization and community interaction. We also provide support to special needs youth transitioning into adult services.

1-1 Services | 6-18 year old | Goal focused services for up to 1 year. | Generally once a week for up to 3 hrs a session. |
Transition Group | Teens 15-18 years old |
Building life and social skills through talk and peer support | Alternating schedule of every other Friday. 5-7 pm |
Teen Group | Youth 12-16 years old |
Practicing social and life skills through games and activities. Dinner is provided |
Alternating schedule of every other Thursday 5-7 pm |
Active Group |

Learning social and life skills through game and activities.. |
Alternating schedule of every other Friday. 5-7 pm |
Kids Group | Children 6-10 years old |
Learning social and life skills through games and activities. A light meal is provided |

Who Qualifies/Eligibility
Children and youth with special needs who live in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows are eligible for one to one or group services.
A referral from the Ministry of Children and Family Development - Children and Youth Special Needs is required.
