DESCRIPTION:We are excited to share an upcoming FREE event for parents and caregivers of young people. YOLO (Youth Offering Listening Opportunities) creates space for young people to speak and the adults to simply listen. \n\n\n\nSAVE THIS DATE: FRIDAY APRIL 26th – Albion Community Centre (ACC) \n\n•             2:30pm-4pm (Afternoon session) \n\n•             4pm-6:30pm (Resource fair) \n\n•             6:30pm-9:00pm (Evening Session) \n\n\n\nClick here to get your FREE YOLO event tickets!  \n\n\n\nYoung people will share about their life experiences as a way to support parents & caregivers understanding of the young people in their life and in general. \n\nSome topics that will be discussed include: \n\n* How can I improve communication with the young person in my life? \n\n* How do I start the hard conversations without making anyone feel uncomfortable? \n\n* How do I talk about substance use? \n\n* Where can I learn more? \n\n\n\nCommunity will also have a chance to send their questions and curiosities in! Share this post widely to everyone you know who has young people in their lives. \n\nCan’t wait to see you there! Oh…Did we mention there will be FOOD! \n\nWe will share more information as the event gets closer. \n\nThis event is in partnership with RISE\, a partnership between the City of Maple Ridge and the Ridge Meadows RCMP and supported by the Building Safer Communities Fund.
