Board of Directors – Board Chair Lisa Begg
Lisa has been a Board member of Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows Community Services since September 2019, serving as Board Chair this past year. She is an Optician by trade and more recently, with her husband, ran her own business in the community for many years while raising her two children. She is currently a Marriage Commissioner since August of 2020 and enjoys being a small part of such a happy day in a couple’s life.
Volunteering has always been important to Lisa who has served in many capacities over the years including school PAC’s, Gala committees, Ironman, Operation Red Nose, and with the local soccer club as registrar, team manager, tournaments, and now with Community Services. She has never been shy to roll her sleeves up and pitch-in where needed.
Lisa is an Ironman triathlete who loves to golf and scuba dive and is happiest outside, especially in the water. In the past few years Lisa has been studying ASL at UBC and most recently has become a beekeeper who loves spending time with the hives.
