We’re beyond thrilled to accept this donation from our colleague Sandi Temple. Sandi, who works in our senior’s department, is an Alisa’s Wish Ambassador and all-star community champion, who hosted her 4th annual Strut Your Stuff event at Meadow Gardens this past May. The well-attended event, which featured a lively fashion show with clothing from Silk Degrees, raises funds for our Alisa’s Wish Child & Youth Advocacy Centre program, to support children and youth in our community who have experienced or witnessed physical, emotional or sexual abuse. It is with full hearts we announce that Sandi and her Strut Your Stuff event this year raised the most money it ever has at $27,648! That amount brings the lifetime Strut Your Stuff grand total to $77,000, all donated to help our community’s most vulnerable children along their healing journey. Way to go Sandi, we are grateful for you!
When asked about the event, Sandi remarked, “As a grandparent, I want to make sure our community is not only safe for my grandchildren to grow up in, but safe for all of our young ones. I’m so pleased to work with our community to ensure young victims of abuse have a chance to heal and grow.”
Thank you, Sandi, for all your hard work, energy, and passion for our community!

As Ramadan comes to a close, we wish a joyful and peaceful Eid al‑Fitr to all those in our community who celebrate. May this special time be filled with reflection, generosity, connection, and moments shared with loved ones.
This week, we are highlighting neurodiversity and the importance of recognizing and valuing the many different ways people think, learn, and experience the world.
