Purpose Statement
Enabling seniors to function at their optimum level and maintain their independence
About Program
Assists geographically and socially isolated seniors to become more independent, thus allowing them to remain in their own homes as long as possible.
Handyman/woman Service offers affordable home maintenance to seniors, helping to provide a safe home environment.
Who Qualifies/Eligibility
Seniors who reside in Maple Ridge or Pitt Meadows. Eligible individuals must register in the program.
Cost
A low rate of $15 per hour is charged for the Handyman/woman Service
Community Partners/Funders
The program started with funding from HRDC (New Horizons for Seniors Program) and is now funded by service clubs, individual and organizations in the community, and Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows Community Services.
