About Program
Provides Brief Counselling to children, youth and families from the following programs:

  • Outreach services to children, youth & families
  • Youth & family conflict Intervention program

Brief Counselling is a program within the Clinical Counselling Services of Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows Community Services.  It provides an opportunity for families to receive brief family counselling services to better aid in their success.

Who Qualifies/Eligibility
Clients receiving services from Outreach Services to Children, Youth & Families are eligible.  They are clients that have been a part of the Ministry of Children & Family Development (MCFD) Integrated Case Management process (ICM).  If space allows, other referrals may be accepted for families undergoing Youth & Family Conflict Intervention services or other families identified by MCFD.

Community Partners/Funders
The BC Government has funded the Clinical Counselling program since 2002.  The Ministry of Children and Family Development currently provides the funding and services available within this program.
