Thank You Donors

Excitement, Glamour and Community

Excitement, glamour and community recently connected at SKY Hangar to support local youth at the first annual For the Love of Youth event.  It was a fun night filled with entertainment, socializing and dancing where our community showed their love for youth who struggle with mental health and substance use, raising $140,000 for the Youth Wellness Centre’s transition into Foundry Ridge Meadows. This outstanding support confirms that the people of Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows are committed to providing a place where local youth can find the help they need, when they need it.

From the bottom of our hearts we wish to thank everyone who participated and helped make this event a huge success. We especially want to thank our event sponsors for their overwhelming support, and the individuals and businesses who made donations to the event. A special thank you to the For the Love of Youth event committee who did a wonderful job of organizing, the youth performers who entertained the crowd and the many volunteers who contributed to the event’s success.

Imagine a community where all youth and young people have access to the support, resources and the care they need to live healthier and stronger lives. This dream is becoming a reality in our community and the $140,000 raised through this event will have an even bigger impact thanks to a magnanimous community member who is matching all donations to Foundry Ridge Meadows up to $250,000.  This generosity brings the total amount raised at this event to $280,000 for our communities’ most vulnerable youth!

With this event and other recent donations we are still $73,000 away from reaching our goal of maximizing this matching fund donation. We still have a long way to go, but with your support we can make it! We invite you to join us and help us reach our goal.

Remember that every dollar counts and every donation will be doubled. Would you consider holding a fundraiser or making a donation to help youth in your community? It’s as easy as hosting a dinner party, donating $20 or becoming a monthly donor. All donations will be matched and will make a big helping difference!

For more information on how to hold a fundraiser or to make a donation contact Heather Walker at hwalker@comservice.bc.ca or 604.467.6911 ext. 1413.

We would also like to thank the following who made generous donations over the past few months:
