Board of Directors

In 1995, the Board adopted its version of the “Carver Model” of governance.  The approach is called “the Policy Governance Model of Board Leadership”

The Board approaches its task with a style which emphasizes:

• Outward vision rather than an internal organizational preoccupation;
• Strategic leadership more than administrative detail;
• Cleardistinction of Board and staff roles;
• Future rather than past or present;
• Proactivity rather than reactivity.
